Come and discover the gateway to the sea of Castellón on the shores of the Mediterranean. Tradition, identity, and multiculturalism in a route that goes hand in hand with gastronomy, history, and the stories of its inhabitants. Don't miss it!
Things to do El Grao de Castellón - Heart of the Sea
The tour will begin in Plaza Miquel Peris i Segarra, a postcard of the seaside neighborhood, where the sea breeze is already noticeable. From this square, we will discover the Church of San Pedro, and we will go to see the train that flies, La Panderola.
On the way, we will pass by the oldest Gastronomic Cathedrals of Grau. Once we arrive at the Park of La Panderola, we will find one of the locomotives that still remain of the most famous freight and passenger train that crossed from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Then we will go into the old town to discover the emblematic figure of Pepa Wells, the traditional Barceló Street, and the Centennial Clock Building.
We will access the Port Area, already at the seafront, strolling through the leisure and commercial area that includes the Puerto Azahar. Contemplating the Sheds of merchandise and the Old Lighthouse. Finally, we will access the Fishing Port to know first hand what arrives at the fish market and which boats and how they arrive at our table.
We will finish again in the Plaza Miquel Peris i Segarra.
