We had booked a tour in Paris, but unfortunately the guide did not show up. The explanation given was that a message had been sent requesting confirmation; however, we did not receive any notification clearly stating that the tour had been cancelled due to lack of response. The message we did receive was quite long and included various pieces of information, which made it unclear that confirmation was required.
One of the main reasons we chose to book through the Freetour platform is its simplicity and user-friendly process, without the need for additional steps. While we understand that, for internal management purposes, a confirmation request may be necessary, it would have been helpful to receive a follow-up message explicitly stating that the tour would be cancelled without confirmation.
Additionally, the same message mentioned expected payments, which we found inconsistent with the concept and expectations typically associated with the Freetour platform.
