Overall very good tour. Nice person

Booked for a birthday treat with some friends. The whole booking process was straight forward and there were good communications from John, our guide. The meet up point was dead easy to find and easy enough to locate John. The tour was very informative and opened up our eyes to what was on the ground and above ground on both the beaten and non-beaten tracks. The pace was good. It allowed for questions and pictures and was quite informal and friendly in nature. Taking us through the narrow passageways around the city of London was a real treat seeing many buildings and spaces which I've never seen despite having working in the City of London for years. There are some real gems of places to be visited which I had no idea were there and have been in some cases for hundreds of years. John had something to say about most monuments we walked passed as well as taking us back to some of the Roman era uses for certain areas. I would heartily recommended one of John's tours to anyone for a great couple of hours to learn about the history of the area near Tower Hill. I think we did around 10k in steps for anyone measuring those sorts of things.

I have spent some time here over the years and you showed me another fascinating area so worthy of more exploration. Excellent experience.

John started doing his tours as a teambuilding event at his workplace and is still doing them, today! John shows you some places you might have walked by without noticing the history of the place and some hidden spots (for example beautiful gardens) and tells interesting stories about alleyways, a beautifully worked wooden door (hint: Bronté sisters). It was not like the tours given by history students, if that's what your looking for (not as many dates and so on, but enough information). John was really enthusiastic throughout and his love for the citiy and it's stories really showed. We would go on the tour again in a heartbeat!

We really enjoyed a very unusual, different tour with John on a Saturday in February where he showed us places in London we would never have found ourselves. He covers so much in just 2 hours and can answer any question thrown at him. He is great company and you'll learn so much. Highly recommend taking time out of your trip to take a tour with John
