Things to do Free Tour of the Berlin Wall and the GDR

After the World War, the world was divided into two blocks. For fear of atomic war, the USSR and the USA developed an ideological, economic, technological and artistic war. Berlin was the point of maximum tension, especially after the construction of the Berlin Wall, which became the icon of this historical period. Discover with us why the wall of shame was built, what it meant for families to be separated and what thousands of people were able to do to jump over the wall and start a new life. We start at the Palace of Tears, where we comfortably sit for a historical introduction, visit a ghost station, at the Bernauerstr. we see the original wall and talk about its victims. We finish at East Side Gallery to see the graffiti. We will discover: who was the Berlin Airlift? why did the Soviets roll the tanks into the streets of Berlin in 1953? how long did it take to build the Berlin Wall? how many people escaped from East Berlin? IMPORTANT: AB-zone subway tickets are required. Groups of 6 persons or more, even if booking separately, will be asked to pay 10 euros per person in advance.
