The content of the tour was interesting and covered a lot of territory. The one big negative was the tour guide. He was a pleasant person and knew much of the content, though he did not know some basic facts that he should have known. The largest criticism is that the guide should have been much more professional. During the tour, he looked at his phone often and even made phone calls. He attempted to use self-deprecating humor, but overdid it, sharing that though he was a political science major, he didn't like the major (this information doesn't set up well for a political type tour), that he had a government job that he was basically fired from and other negative statements. He made little attempt to engage the people on the tour while we moved from 1 spot to another, instead focusing on his phone. We felt as if he took this job because he couldn't find anything else and he didn't really want to be there and we were a nuisance to him. He has a lot of potential, but needs to become much more professional and engaged. We wish him well and hope that he begins to take the job seriously. Good luck.
