“A trip you could pass on. ”
We’ve done six previous segway trips and all were fun. This one was not fun. Prague is one of the big problems — the few places Segways can be used are rough, narrow sidewalks and parking lots. While the equipment as generally functional, it had been beat-up: bent handlebars and a number of dings from accidents. The ad photos showed each Segway had a small bag to store personal items. There were none. It said we’d have unlimited drinks and we were offered none, though Andre did share his personal bottle of magnesium water once. We showed up at 9:20 AM and actually stepped on a Segway at 10:.25. The available roads were in bad shape and we had to cut through a lot full of new cars at a dealership. The course could be considered pretty technical by most experienced people. One of the newbies crashed pretty hard and picked up a fair amount if road rash on a very narrow sidewalk. We were not told there was going almost as much walking as segwaying — one of the big reasons you Segway is to minimize walking. We had to leave early for another activity, but the scheduled 3.0 hours was already at 3.5 with another 25 minutes to go plus a 20 minute trip back to town. We can’t really recommend this trip.
