How did Krakow suffer World War II? How did the Nazi occupation develop and how did it affect the inhabitants of the city?
All these questions and many more will be addressed on the Second World War Tour, which delves into the life of the city during World War II.
Krakow, like most Polish cities, suffered dramatically during the conflict. However, for a number of historical reasons, the fabric of the city received some protection, as it was a stronghold and seat of the Nazi general government.
But while Krakow's physical fabric was not as damaged during the war as other cities, especially Warsaw, the same cannot be said for its culture and people.
We will delve into the context prior to the war to go through the reasons that dragged Poland to enter it and the importance of resistance in the war context.
We will visit the main buildings that were part of the structure of the Nazi occupation and we will offer all the necessary historical information so that you get a complete and global vision of an event that marked the history of the city and that changed the world order.
