Things to do 2-Hour Historical Tour of Puerto Madero
Buenos Aires, port city. We will start the tour from Plaza de Mayo where we will tell you about the founding of the city in 1850 by Juan de Garay and its relationship with the port. The city began to grow towards the first port of La Boca, but during the historical context of 1880-1930, Buenos Aires was inserted in the world as an agro-exporting economy to be known as "The Granary of the World".
As the capital of the Republic, it was going to require a port that was up to the circumstances, so several projects arose to build a great port.
We will tell you about the Madero Port project, the political interweaving, its operation and the work of the immigrants who made its construction possible.
In addition, we will share with you the history and architecture of the main buildings along the route and the relationship of Puerto Madero with other infrastructures such as the Post Office, the Retiro, Constitución and Once railroad stations.
A proposal to know the history behind one of the most touristic areas of the city of Buenos Aires.
