Things to do Essential Free Tour: San Telmo, Plaza de Mayo & Puerto Madero
We will meet at the intersection of San Juan Avenue and Defensa Street, and afterwards we´ll head to a tenement house to see the life of immigrants before we move on to Plaza Dorrego, the heart of San Telmo. Next, we’ll explore the San Telmo Market, discover antiques, its food, vibrant hallways, and taste yummy dulce de leche. Let´s move on to El Viejo Almacen, the famous place for tango shows. If you haven't decided which tango show to attend, I can help you decide.
Next, the smallest house in BA and the famous Mafalda. At Nuestra Señora del Rosario Church, we´ll talk about the English invasions. On the way to Plaza de Mayo, we will pass by the imposing Otto Wulff building, an expression of the Art Nouveau in BA of the early 19th century.
We´ll discuss the emergence of the French academic style in BA and its Parisian look. We´ll also stop at 'Block of Enlightenment', a Jesuit construction in BA, and the museum. (also a restroom break).In Plaza de Mayo, we´ll see the domes, Cabildo, the Cathedral, Banco Nación (formerly Teatro Colón) & Casa Rosada. The final stop is glamorous Puerto Madero, home to the iconic Woman’s Bridge, an area featuring restaurants and picturesque docks.

“Informative tour”
The tour covers 3 neighborhoods of the city and I enjoyed it very much. Magdalena is a great tour guide giving us the background and history of the places we visited and the suggestions on what to do in the city. Highly recommended.
