Things to do Lagos free walking tour

Brodie's Historical and Entertaining Walking Tour is a 2hr walking tour of Lago, Portugal. The tour covers approximately 5km and is suitable for anyone with reasonable fitness levels. Dogs are also more than welcome on this walk, however please mention this at time of your booking. During this walk we'll cover all of the Lagos old town along with the modern Avenida das Descombrimentos. You'll learn about the Portuguese age of discovery, the great earthquake of 1755 and about the important people that shaped this nation (Prince Henry, Dom Sebastiao, Gil Earnes and Vasco de Gama to name a few). Originally from Australia, I've now been living in Lagos for 12 years and during this time I've learnt a great deal about the history of Portugal and the port city of Lagos. Alongside this I've picked up many secrets on great restaurants, bars and places of interest along with a bunch of money saving tips for travellers. I like to entertain so I promise a few laughs, along the way.

We'll finish this tour with a sweet Portuguese delicacy of either an almond treat or a pastel de nata above the gorgeous Batata beach, and hopefully a drink at my favourite bar. Concluding the 2hr tour, I provide each guest with a document entitled 'Brodie's Tips' that lists some of my favourite restaurants and bars, some great day-trips to consider and a break down of some of the historical information covered on the walk.

When I first arrived in Lagos I was a traveller just like you and had no idea I would end up settling in this beautiful place, I like to think this love of Lagos shines through in all the walks I organise. As I have also been running a day-trip tour company for 9 years I have a great knowledge of the surrounding Algarve towns and much of Portugal.
