Free Tour Essential Berlin

In the Essential Berlin Free Tour you will discover the most emblematic monuments of the city of Berlin and learn about its history and most important curiosities. We will also give you tips on what to do in the city and where to eat.

The tour starts at the Rotes Rathaus (the Red Town Hall) to discover over approximately 2.5 hours the fascinating history of Berlin and its most beautiful corners. Some of the monuments that we will see are the island of museums, the Berlin Cathedral, the University, vestiges of the wall and we will finish at the Brandenburg Gate.

Throughout the tour we will explain through its streets and squares the foundation of the city, the birth of the German empire, the invasions that the city suffered, its reunification, the 1st World War, the rise to power of Hitler and the regime Nazi, the 2nd World War and the Holocaust, and finally the division of the Wall and its fall. Despite the important history of the city, we will not leave aside its powerful countercultural environment such as techno or graffiti.
