El tour fue muy interesante y completo. La guía mezcló la visita por la ciudad con algunas datos que desconocíamos sobre la historia de Oaxaca y México en general, indispensables para entender el contexto de la ciudad y su desarrollo a través del tiempo. “Excellent Walking Tour”
Toni, our guide, gave an excellent tour of central Oaxaca. He is knowledgeable, passionate about the city and its culture, and has a great way with people. He also has a wonderful and respectful relationship with many of the vendors in the markets we passed through. This tour was a great introduction to the city. I especially enjoyed the chocolate tasting in the market.

Tony spoke loud and well and kept a good pace. He had historical stories and current events. He made you feel comfortable with the local market and what to look for and try to eat some local foods. Funny and charming I would try any of his tours he has eight years of experience!

“Walking Tour 11 am Oaxaca”
I found the tour very cursory. There were only 4 of us, and even though the guide Tony said he usually has over 20, he tended to walk ahead and provided virtually no narrative as we walked. The tour was supposed to be 2 to 2.5 hours but actually lasted less 1.75. We didn’t get any real sense of the history of Oaxaca, the buildings or the culture. He recommended a lot of food stalls we saw a bit of the artisanal market and Tony talked a lot about Benito Juarez which was interesting but we were looking for more about the city. Would not recommend this tour

“Very enthousiastic quide!”
we are very fond of Raul. He speaks fluent English and is an enthusiastic, infectious speaker. We found his stories about the political history and current situation as well as the stories about the special Mexican cuisine very interesting. No explanation for old buildings for once! Raul also understands the art of giving personal attention and ensuring that you feel part of a group for 3 hours. Highly recommended!!

“Awesome Tour!!! Tony Bobony is amazing!! ”
We were at first skeptical because we had a dud of a city tour earlier in the day but Tony blew us away with his tour of Oaxaca!! He was very easy to understand, made a connection right away to all the group members, very relaxed but always enthusiastic. He brought us to amazing areas of Oaxaca - City center, markets with taste testing of popular Oaxaca flavors, street art, and main historical sites. We even got to visit a family-owned textile shop and witness the magic of a blanket being made! We didn't want to end the tour we were having such a great time! He gave us tons of great recommendations of places to visit later. Tony's wealth of knowledge on Oaxaca and other areas of Mexico and travel is invaluable!

“A good overview ”
Raoul covered a lot in three hours drinks, chocolate, art, politics and textiles. The one thing missing was food but I can understand how that would require a tour unto itself.
Huddle close at the start of the tour - it’s hard to hear about Oaxacan history over traffic noise

“Oaxaca Free Walking Tour for Gesenia”
Gesenia was extremely knowledgeable and I'm so glad I did this tour! I learned a lot about the history and was pleased to find that we went to places that I wouldn't have been able to find on my own. As a videographer/photographer, it was helpful to have a local guide (who is on a voluntary basis by the way) show/share the ropes of the intricacies of the city. I'm grateful for Gesenia's knowledge, patience, and attention to detail and care for everyone in the group. Would highly recommend.

I can't recommend this tour enough! Raul is amazing and the content was so very interesting! I loved learning more about the area and the history. The stops in to the local galleries and the explanation about the origins of the political art was both very interesting and also [provided so much context for the street art I have seen around town since then. Very highly recommend!!

“Terrific tour”
"I took a trip with Raul yesterday (Jan 13, 2021) from this company and he did a great job. It was my 1st full day in Oaxaca City so I figured it was a good way to get a feel for the historic center. Raul speaks excellent English so no problems there. He took me to some cool galleries where I bought a small painting and a bunch of tee shirts from a local artist. He also took me to a taco joint that doesn't have a name and I had a terrific and inexpensive taco cerdo. Damn it was good!! He explained the history of the indigenious people of the region, the political unrest Oaxaca has experienced through the years which was interesting. It is expressed through the street art you run across. If you have a few hours to spare book a tour! 2 Thumbs up."

We met up with our guide Raúl at 4pm, who was a really nice guy. The tour was really interesting and he showed us very cool spots that represent the city and told us a lot about the political and cultural history of the city which to me seems important to know to understand more about this great and unique city. I really recommend this tour, even during covid-times.

“Sorry - never again! Feels like they bring you from shop to shop”
I have been doing many, many free walking tours all over the world but this was - unfortunately- one of the worst.
Juan, our guide, seems to be a nice guy and we did see parts of the city which we probably would not have explored on our own - nevertheless we didn’t get much information from him during our 3 hour tour as he mostly took us from shop to shop and barely provided information on the town, it’s history or culture. Too bad because that’s why we took the tour! Many people in our group felt the same way as we talked to each other during the tour. Also, with Juan as our guide, we had many awkward embarrassing moments („jokes“) which didn’t really help the group atmosphere either...
Constructive criticism for the tour Organizer: You should definitely create a new concept for your tour as it currently doesn’t serve its purpose of really giving visitors a glimpse of your city! Sorry! ❤️
