We’ll visit a coffeeshop that honors Oaxacan coffee and cacao culture, where you’ll learn about bean-to-cup production and taste the flavors that define the region’s small-scale economy. As we walk down Callejón del Calvario, vivid Oaxacan street art comes to life, revealing layers of history, politics, and identity expressed on the city’s walls. Then, we explore how local artists use ink, paint, and mixed media as acts of resistance, remembrance, and celebration. We’ll climb to El Mirador del Cerro del Fortín just in time for golden hour.
