In this walking tour you will discover some of the most representative places of Oaxaca, a city known for its cultural, historical and architectural richness. We will start at the Zócalo, the heart of the city's social and political life. From there we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, one of the most important temples in Oaxaca, and continue to the Temple of Santo Domingo, considered a masterpiece of Mexican baroque. Nearby we will stop at the Institute of Graphic Arts of Oaxaca (IAGO), founded by Francisco Toledo, a cozy space where you can appreciate the strong graphic tradition of the city. The tour will also include cultural centers such as the San Pablo Cultural Center and the Macedonio Alcalá Theater, architectural icons that combine tradition and art. We will conclude at the Guelaguetza Auditorium, the stage of Oaxaca's most emblematic festival and a symbol of its identity. An itinerary designed to understand the history and heritage of Oaxaca through its main monuments... and to inspire you to continue exploring all that this extraordinary city has to offer.

If you're looking for a crash course on Oaxaca's culture, infrastructure and gastronomy, Javier is your one man show. Javier was lively, knowledgeable and inclusive. He clearly showed passion for his craft and answered all the weird and wonderful questions we had for him. Abel fue nuestro guia para el dia. Demonstró mucho conocimiento sobre la ciudad de Oaxaca y sobre la historia de la gente, cultura y lugar.
La tour dura cerca de 1.30h/2h, pero se hace super facil, con algunos stops durante ese tiempo.
Despues del tour, tambien nos dió algunas dicas de que visitar, comer y hacer en Oaxaca.

“Wonderful and insightful tour with Abel”
A perfect tour guided by Abel, who is stellar and very knowledgeable about Oaxaca and its rich culture and history. The tour was approximately two hours but not a minute was dull. Abel was also very helpful in helping me find a wonderful artisan shop where I was able to buy alebrijes at a reasonable price.
I would 100 percent recommend this tour!
