Things to do Authentic Retreat: Among Palaces and Secret Corners
Do you want to feel the most incredible legends of the cemetery? Discover the art and stories of one of the most impressive open-air museums in the world. My mission is to make you say "wow".
We started at Plaza San Martin, next to the monument to the Liberator, surrounded by century-old trees and soldiers on guard. From there we passed by Palacio Paz, Palacio Anchorena and Palacio Haedo. We looked out onto Florida Street, with its commercial rhythm, and arrived at the Kavanagh, an icon of Buenos Aires modernism, with a history of love and revenge in the Argentine aristocracy.
The Estrugamou Palace appears soon after, marking the beginning of the most European section of the tour. We walk along Arroyo Street, with embassies, galleries and stately architecture. We also visit the Fernández Blanco Museum, a neo-colonial baroque jewel with first-class viceroyalty art.
We crossed to Recoleta, passed in front of the French Embassy and closed at Plazoleta Pellegrini, with a view that few tourists find.
I was born in the heart of this city and my passion for history and architecture is real. If you want to hear stories, there are many tours. But if you want to feel them, this is yours.
