My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Stonetown with our guide, Mohammed. He entertained us with the history of the old city and with explanations of the current realities of life here. It was a very pleasant way to spend the morning.

“10+ Tour Guide in Zanzibar”

Mohammed was excellent! Thorough, punctual, intelligent, responsive: a wealth of history and culture. In addition to sharing all of his knowledge, he answered our many questions without hesitation. He’s also patient and kind and knows his city well—when we walked with him it was clear that he’s a respected and appreciated part of his community. “A must do tour”

Mohammed was an outstanding guide who was very insightful and very fun. The tour hoes through the different parts if the town and there is a lit to see. Mohamed really helped us understand the bigger picture of Zanzibar and connect it with the historical events. Highly recommend him.

“Nice tour with a lot of side information”

I enjoyed the tour with Muhammed, he explained everything well and it was a nice tour in Stonetown. The atmosphere was very well and He also answered my questions about hints, side information and recommondation since I will stay longer in Stonetown. I had a good time with Muhammad and can just recommend it!

Tuvimos un problema con el coche de alquiler y no pudimos acudir a nuestra hora, no tuvo problema en hacerlo más tarde para nosotros, lo cua le agradecemos un montón. We can highly recommend and thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour with our guide Ali, who was very respectful, knowledgeable and passionate. We definitely feel like we got to see the real Stone (and New) Town, thanks to him and his patience, encouragement and consideration. Ali tailored the tour according to our interests and despite it only being the two of us, took his time, sharing not only intersting facts about the history and culture of Stone Town but also giving us authentic insights into the local way of life through taste and practice - the Zanzibar coffee and game of checkers at the market were an absolute highlight. Muhammad was an excellent guide who knew a lot about Zanzibar's history. He answered our questions well and often discussed how there were more than one story about a place. I appreciate that willingness to "complicate" the story. Our young daughter was also having a rough morning, and Muhammad handled it gracefully. This tour is totally worth it!

We booked a walking tour with Mudikei Zanzibar. We had a small group and Mohammed was so welcoming and friendly. He was entertaining and had so much knowledge about the history and culture of Zanzibar.
