We will meet in the long street of l'Ascension to enter two of the most emblematic buildings in Venice.
In the first part of the tour we will visit the famous Doge's Palace, a historic Italian building located at the eastern end of Saint Mark's Square. For centuries, it represented the seat of Venetian political power. In addition, it served for hundreds of years as the official residence of the doges, the highest leaders of the Republic of Venice. We will go through the different rooms of this residence and we will see the golden stairs. Inside the Palace we will admire some of the most famous works painted by Tintoretto, Veronese and other important artists. We will also cross the well-known Bridge of Sighs to visit the dungeons.
After the first visit, we will go to the St. Mark's Basilica. It was built next to the Palazzo Ducale in 828 to house the relics of Saint Mark. It represents the place where Eastern and Western architecture meet each other. During the tour, we will be able to see up close the beautiful mosaics of the temple and the four Horses of San Marcos.
