“Interesting and friendly tour”
Fernando is a real character. He knows his history and encourages questions. You will be surprised by the random facts he knows when asked. Around 2 hours long, he starts with some history of Mexico and takes you on a shortish walk giving restaurant recommendations, recommendations on where to visit and some little known history that is not taught in Mexican schools. He is very passionate about his country and speaks good English. Highly recommended.

“Informative and funny tour of Mérida”
I decided on doing the tour with Fernando one day prior to it taking place. We started on time at the meeting point and got shown some interesting historical places accompanied by funny stories, historical facts and "insider information" regarding food, events, museums etc.

“Nice walking-tours during our roadtrip through Yucatan thru Yuca”
During our roadtrip through Quintana Roo and Yucatan we made several walking tours in different cities. Nice to meet local people on this way with interesting stories and a lot of (local) information.
In Merida we had the tour with Fernando. Merida is a very nice (cultural) city and Fernando told us a lot about the rich history of this city. He also informed us about the nice places to visit (i.e.museums, art galleries, Maya heritage...) and to eat and drink! A nice experience for us!

He also gave us plenty of recommendation for museums, activities, cafe and restaurants for after the tour, which as a tourist I always find very useful (I am writing this review now in one cage recommended by Fernando). Beyond his positive vibes and cultural knowledge, Fernando also provided an honest and insightful view of the Mexica society, again a great plus for me, since it is always interesting to learn about the local society but usually tricky to find someone to discuss this openly.
Definitely recommend it for the begining of your stay in Merida so you can make the most out of your visit.
