“Amazing even with rain”

It was raining at the beginning of my tour. But the tour guide was great! She took us inside and told a lot of the history of Mérida. She was well adapted to the rain. When we came out the house of Montejo the rain stopped and the sun was shining. It's a great tour, not too much walking and so much information. Loved it!

We loved this walking tour! The day was pretty rainy so a few bookings didn’t turn up, which was a pity for them and for the guide, the stories and info was really interesting and a mix of history and local knowledge useful today. I would highly recommend this walking tour and to only pay a tip is great value for money

Very useful information and interesting tour around the city center of Merida. Unfortunately this tour says: “pay what you want” which is not all true since I felt forced to pay. My guide asked me for 200-400 pesos and was very dissatisfied when I only gave her 85 pesos. I would be happy to both tip and pay if only this would have been announced when I booked the tour. I think it is rude to ask for more than 200 in tips. So I was shocked to be honest. Somebody needs to update the tour information or secure the woman a minimum wage for the tour.
