“Great Tour”
It was clear that Ru had put the research in to find interesting spots to visit as well as the must see stuff for the subject matter. A tour is always more enjoyable when you can tell the guide has a passion for the subject matter and that was clearly the case here.
The tips on some more alternative/current things to do in Berlin were also really appreciated and a welcome bonus. Pairs nicely with the more generic welcome to Berlin style tours, giving another view and in many ways a deeper level of information.

“Tour in Berlin last week”
The tour had only 5 spots to look at. We were looking at a house wall with a sculpture "painting" for 45 minutes.
I would have expected to see much more real life examples of DDR / communist buildings, parks, sculptures, inscriptions, monuments. Where else than in East Berlin should they be found.
The content was good, but without show casing historic examples it was boring.

“Very interesting tour, not to miss out on”
Ru was very insightful and funny at the same time. Coming from Hungary (and being born just one day after the Berlin Wall came down :D), I knew a lot of things about this era, but Ru still managed to add quite a lot of interesting facts. I only regretted that the tour didn't really involve much walking, we took the U-bahn and the tram and we were mostly standing/sitting while Ru was explaining history to us. Nevertheless, it was interesting and we very much enjoyed it.

“Amazing Trip”
This is my favorite trip during my time in Berlin because it allows us to view this history from a different perspective.To have a more comprehensive understanding this place, it is far from enough to just start from the narrative perspective of West Germany.
This trip is not boring or tense, Alex controls the rhythm very well. At the end of the trip, we were also recommended books and documentaries related to it. I really like it because it will allow me to keep Berlin by my side even if I have to leave here.

My friend and I were visiting Berlin for the first time and chose this tour as we were particularly interested in the 20th century history of the city. In the 3 hours we had, we were given a thorough yet abridged briefing of communist and socialist history of Germany. So refreshing to hear an alternative history although by no means promoted. From this, I gained a deeper understanding of how it all came about and therefore a deeper connection with the city. The guide was entertaining, humorous and totally engaging. If you’re seeking a mechanism to aid critical thinking, this is where you begin.
