An excellent tour where the guide Isabella shared a lot of very interesting and detailed information about the beach city that I would never have learned on my own. She made it easy to understand by integrating pop culture references throughout the commentary and showing us places we would not have found on our own. I specifically appreciated the Municipal art gallery that shows work from local artists. The current exhibition was amazing. Zoran Matic displays futuristic paintings influenced by his time spent with Dali.

We had a great time in Playa del Carmen and got to know more about the culture and history because of the free walking tour.
The tour took around 1,5h. We had the opportunity to taste some chocolate in Ah Cacao, which was nice. Also you get a coupon for a little discount on the Frida Kahlo museum.
They recommend you to pay 200 Mex. Pesos p.P.

“Missed it”
We arrived 5 minutes late at ADO and 5 th Ave. Waited awhile then got on wifi. Had a message from tour person asking if everything was okay. I messaged 4 times to see where the tour was at so we could try to catch up but no answer. Sorry we were late but our shuttle from Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda let’s us off far from ADO. We rushed for 20 minutes but missed our tour. ????

The guide Lady was waiiting for us on time near the terminal as planned her pink umbrella !
She gave her the opportunity to have some insight of the native culture, promoting their history. We went though geological aspects, historical and commercial point of view.
We met local people having local shops relater to health, chocolate and other food specificities, as well as art and crafting.
She was kind, taking care of us, giving information about the roots of her country.
Finally, she recommanded us the local information web site for us to be able to have the best experience.
Thanks to her to iniate us whith so much happiness and enthousiasm.

“All of my questions were answered in the presentation”
Isabella was great. I had been in PDC 6 weeks- and while I had my impressions of the area, I did not know the history of the land or the people. This walking tour answered all of the questions I had. The symbolisms and meaning behind the statute; how to help locals; which vendors actually support the local community; how the land came to be what it is etc. I also learned some new cultural facts that I wasn't aware of. Great tour. Great guide. No pressure selling. A part of the tour you will walk the beach.

“Nice tour to start our day! ”
Pierre and Isabella were great tour guides, covering information in both English and Spanish to be sure everyone in our group of 8 could understand. While you don’t walk too far on the tour, you do have plenty of stops and point of interest along the way to show you how much there is to see in Playa del Carmen. Pierre had lots of interesting facts that he pointed out and even though we had been in PDC for a few days already, we saw new things and heard new information. Pierre also left lots of space open for questions about all different topics and was open to sharing about his personal connections to PDC, Cozumel, and Mayan culture which helped make the tour feel very authentic and like he was knowledgeable not only about the area but the history and culture too.
Only area for improvement I would recommend was for the very start, at the meeting point to make it more clear where the meeting point was, as we waited for 10 minutes for the last two group members who had been on the further side near the plaza the whole time looking. Fortunately they did see the pink tshirts as we started walking and were able to join, but there could be some improvement there to make the tour more obvious at the start.
Thank you to Pierre and to Isabella who helped start our day in PDC with a great tour!

We had a great time with Vladimir. His english was very good and the tempo great and not too fast. We appreciate that he gave us tips about other area to see and place to eat. We really liked the extra info about the Mexican culture. It was fun and relaxed to talk with Vladimir. We really learn interesting things about the maya. It was nice to see symboles on buildings and the important event of the past of méxico.
tips: when talking about maya language or numbers would be nice to have a paper to truly have the time to understand the principal. Something visual we can look at or draw on.
My boyfriend would have liked to walk and talk more instead of standing and talking in front of a monument.
The end of the tour is the mexican chocolat place is a great idea. We appreciate that at no time we were proposed to buy something. We have people trying to sell us thing everyday and we just want to learn about that culture.

No aparecieron nunca los guías. Estuvimos en la esquina de encuentro durante 15 minutos y nunca vino nadie del tour, y la gente local de turismo no conocía a ese tour ni a las sombrillas rosadas, asique no se gasten en ir porque se van a clavar.

“Free tour con Dan”
Hicimos el free tour el día de ayer con Dan. Sinceramente al reservar el tour no teníamos mucha expectativa.. pero nos sorprendió y mucho!
El guía Dan nos llevó a conocer diferentes lugares de la 5ta avenida y también por fuera de ella.
Muy didáctico y detallado.
Recomiendo hacerlo con Dan sin lugar a dudas. La experiencia fue muy linda.

“Great Walk With Local Knowledge”
We had walked around Playa for a few days before the tour so were wondering what else we would see. Well with this tour we saw the hidden gems and learned about the the culture and history. It is so worth doing and would recommend to anybody who wants to get past the tourist side of Playa, and go a little deeper to experience the real Mayan and Mexican culture. Thanks for the experience.

“Fantastic, Informative and Edcational!!”
We were in Playa for 3 nights and wanted to add a bit of culture to our visit by taking a historic tour. This did not disappoint! The tour was about 2 hours so wear comfortable shoes. We say hidden gems and architectural sites throughout Playa as well as Mayan heritage. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer all our questions. Highly recommend!!
