Have you heard that Denmark is one of the happiest countries in the world? But how true is this? Discover in this three-hour walking tour the history, legends, and iconic sights of the Red and Green Light District comfortably and safely with an experienced guide, walking around two trendry neighborhoods as Vesterbro and Christiania.
The Red and Green Light District Walking Tour starts at City Hall Square* and ends in Christiania. Explore the neighborhoods with a local expert!
Outside the center of central Copenhagen lie two very different neighborhoods to the general aesthetic of the city. That is why the first neighborhood we will visit is Vesterbro, a neighborhood where there are some vestiges of the "red zone" of the city, where we will talk about the social problems of the city such as prostitution and shelters for the homeless.
Then, we will go through one of the most interesting markets in the city called Kodbyen 'the meat district', to see how Copenhagen has reinvented itself.
We will take transportation to the second part of the tour, which takes place in the surroundings of the Free City of Christiania, where we explore the birth and current situation of this project that began in the '70s and has given (and still gives)... much to talk about.
* The meeting point is at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento unless another point is agreed upon, such as the hotel where you are staying.
