Things to do Free Walking Tour Through the Historic City Center
During my tour, I want to share Dresden's incredibly beautiful historic and historically rebuilt city center. By walking through the "Altstadt," we will discover the beauty that this city has to offer, and I hope to give you an insight into German history and culture within about two hours of walking there. I am Paul, an academically trained English and History teacher, and thrilled to show you the gems of my city. We will hear about the region's rich history of Saxony and Germany and East Germany's socialist past as we stroll past examples of baroque Renaissance and socialist architecture.

“Another jewel in Dresden”
I really fell in love with Dresden and Paul :-)
He is a really fantastic guide who can easily explain historical facts of the city and Germany itself. Highly recommended to all European tourists and you should make sure you book this trip ton time o get the most of the city centre. Even if it's not your first time in this place, I am sure you will learn a lot interesting facts and have a wonderful time strolling along Dresden most beautiful sights with this amazing guide.
Why I loved Paul so much? Probably because he is an amazing story teller, has excellent command of English, impressive radio voice and a person touch that he added to this guided sightseeing.

“Walking tour in historic center of Dresden ”
Our guide Paul was enough calm, with good English, friendly and gave us interesting facts and stories about city, objects and history. Already at the beginning of the tour he said that tour most likely will be 30 min longer than it is written in the description. I was really fine with that, but I can imagine that someone who have planned something else afterwards, could not be good with that. Maybe it is better already in the description to write more time. We went in some yards and on some walls/buildings, where I myself alone most probably would not have gone and would not know about the beauty, what can see there. Thank you Paul!

I visited Dresden this past weekend with some friends and Paul was the guide who showed us the city around. Getting to know the capital of Saxony with somebody who has such an amazing knowledge about history couldn't have made the experience better. We loved him so much, he is the nicest person and guide you could have! “Great experience ”
We had a visit on Friday with Paul in the beautiful Altstadt in Dresden.
Paul was a very good guide, he leads us in front and inside of some of the old monuments there. It was very interesting and I learned a lot, Paul has a lot of anecdotes to add to the history of the town and the buildings. Even with the rain, he managed to make us all have a good time. I recommande for sure !

“Excellent Tour on a Rainy Friday”
Paul provided an excellent tour on a rainy Dresden afternoon. His tour seamlessly tied different parts of Altstadt together to an interesting whole, from old kings to the communist regime. Providing an overview of Dresdens rich history along with some deep dives into interesting and fun anecdotes made the city come alive to me. I can fully recommend this tour, both to history nerds and more casual tourists. Remember to bring an umbrella if it rains ;)
