Discover the magical Bamberg, a World Heritage City. Join our tour and travel 300 years back in time as we explore its charming streets and unearth its secrets - don't miss it!
The city of Bamberg has more than 1000 years of history and we invite you to discover a place of dreams.
The tour starts at a small square called Obstmarkt, a place full of small cafes that invite you to enjoy more of the place. Then we will see the Old Town Hall, the postcard of the city. Do you know the link between Bamberg and Operation Valkyrie? Be sure to ask the guide about the last attempt on Hitler's life.
Bamberg is called the Rome of Franconia, as it is also founded on seven hills and practically on each hill there is also a church. The tour continues visiting the hills and churches, but don't worry, we will only see three. The Cathedral towers over the others and the historic center. At the Cathedral Square we will stop to see the Alte Hofhaltung and the Neue Residenz, the palaces of the Prince Archbishops. In the Rose Garden we will have one of the best views of the city, in one of the oldest rose gardens in Germany.
We will go down to Klein Venedig, Little Venice, with its half-timbered houses along the Regnitz River. Finally, we will finish at Schlenkerla, perhaps the most famous tavern in Bamberg.
