Bestseller excursion from Athens, enjoy a 1-day cruise through the 3 islands of the Saronic Gulf from Athens and in Spanish!
In the early morning, a coordinator will pick us up in a luxury bus (with air conditioning) to go to the port. From there, we will set sail for the island of Poros, approximately two hours away, during which the cruise guide will provide us with information about the islands.
In Poros, the smallest of the three islands, we will have an hour of free time to wander. We will be able to visit Trinzia, the Russian shipyard on the island of Poros, where we will learn the history of the cooperation between Greece and the Russian navy during the 18th and 19th centuries. If we prefer, we can stroll through Lemonodassos, a dense forest of lemon and orange trees between beautiful windmills and waterfalls. Back on the ship, we will enjoy lunch (first shift) sitting comfortably enjoying the views of the Mediterranean for about an hour, on the way to Hydra.
The entrance to the port of Hydra, shaped like an amphitheater, once served as a refuge for saronic pirates. Located near the island of Spetses, Hydra is well known for its colorful little capital, full of picturesque narrow alleys, charming mansions and red-tile houses that have silently watched a long and turbulent history. The guide will recommend the best shops and cafes, and then he will let us explore the place on our own for approximately two hours. When we get back on board, the tables will be set for the second lunch shift.
After lunch, we can relax on the deck of the boat and enjoy the warm sea breeze as we sail towards our last stop, the island of Aegina. Upon arrival, we will be able to walk around the city at our own pace. In the bustling port of the island, known as Port of Aegina, we can enjoy a glass of ouzo in its famous ouzeries combining it with some seafood.
The journey back to the port of Piraeus takes about an hour. A traditional Greek show with singers and dancers dressed in local costumes will enliven the trip until docking in Piraeus.
The cruise offers optional activities, photography and purchases on board to visit in more depth certain parts of each island. Our suggestion is that we spend our time enjoying the island on our own, walking, taking a bath or buying local products!
Upon arrival, we will be transferred on a short journey back to our hotel, where the excursion will end.
Yoorney tip: If you don't taste Aegina's famous pistachios, you'll feel like you've never visited this island.
