Trieste and the Miramare castle. A walk through the main attractions of the city with a must, taking a coffee in the home of the real Italian cappuccino. It was the second most important city after Vienna.
We'll start on the main square, Piazza Unita d'Italia, seeing the stunning palaces surrounding the square, following the Stock Exchange Square (Piazza della Borsa), then we'll pass the Roman theater from the 1st century AD, walk up to the San Giusto hill where we'll visit the San Giusto cathedral, the castle and enjoying the beautiful view of the whole city. Walking down the hill we'll visit the Jewish ghetto. After that, we are going to Miramare castle, built out of love. I am calling it the European Taj Mahal. Of course, we must take a real Italian cappuccino, because Trieste is the born place of it. A multicultural city with Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Anglican churches and the second biggest synagogue in Europe.
