Things to do Stockholm Old Town Free Walking Tour
Follow the guide through cobblestone streets and narrow alleyways as you get to hear about the original island of Stockholm, founded way back in the 13th century. Old Town or Gamla Stan is filled with beautiful houses and cozy little squares, but its history is ripe with blood chilling stories! Well done to our Guide (Denis/zenith ) a big group of many nationalities , organised, very knowledgeable, vigilant regarding pick pockets which was important & welcomed! What a memory too!! Remembered all our names, very engaging with a bit of humour... I find it really useful doing a tour like this on my first day when visiting a city as I travel independently ( I also did one in paris) and you end up making friends with other tourists from other countries... also at the end he was happy for us to use whatsapp with him for more tourist info. Answered any questions... overall, would highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this tour. It was super informative and Zenid really knows his stuff (he even knew how many islands there are in my home country, which I didn’t even know!). I enjoyed learning about Swedish history through the statues and architecture that Zenid pointed out. He also provided some really helpful recommendations afterwards for things to do and places to eat in Stockholm. Who knew the metro had so much art!

Our tour of Old Town with Connie was just ok. Based on various other guide books and literature that we have read, it seems like there is a lot more she could have told us. She walked us from point to point and provided interesting info at each stop. I would have liked to have learned a bit more about our surroundings as we were walking. Compared to other free tours we have done, there didn’t seem to be much “filler” info provided.

I have done many walking tours (some better than others) but in Stockholm Kevin was outstanding, very clear and projected his stories well so that even those at the back could hear with interesting content and beautiful old town all presented with a happy face .... the meeting point was a little out of the old town (probably so the other city tour guides doing the modern tour could divide up as required) I wish I had more time in Stockholm but I was only there for a day on a cruise stop but definitely would like to go back for more !!!

Hubo deficiencias de organización. El tour en español no se hizo en el día y hora indicado y nadie nos avisó. Tuvimos que ir al día siguiente en otro horario (no hay tour en español todos los días). Es notoria la diferencia con otras empresas de este tipo de tours que operan en otras ciudades de Europa, que son más profesionales.

Zenid is a good guide. He is clear and provides relevant and useful info. The tour was only 1.5 hours. If possible, it should be extended to 2 or 2.5 hours to see more of Gamla Stan.

Buenos días. Tengo un recordatorio de la tarde anterios" a las 13,30 y estar 10' antes." Después de media hora aparece el guía. Las explicaciones del guía han sido : poco activas a, sin dinamismo, monótonas, grises, sin interacción, aburridas... De los muchos freetour que he hecho, es del único que me hubiese ido en pleno recorrido, que no hice por educación. Sus reiteradas peticiones del pago de la propina, sin acabar el tour, ha sido la gota que ha colmado el vaso. Una pena para una ciudad tan bonita.

Nos apuntamos al freetour pensando que se hablaría de la ciudad vieja así como también de sus tradiciones, historia, y demás información del pasado. El tour se limitó a hablar de la actualidad, que ese tour era a primera hora... Explicaciones de cuánto cobran, migración, política actual, paro, educación, ayudas familiares, etc. Si es un tour de la ciudad antigua, esperaba tradiciones de cómo vivían, costumbres, cómo superaban el frío invierno, rituales, creencias, etc. Sinceramente, nos aportó poco este tour ya que lo que nos contaron no era lo que veníamos buscando ya que la descripción del tour no tiene nada que ver con lo que se nos presentó.
Eso sí, el guía fue simpático, aunque no contase nada respecto la antigüedad, tan solo los símbolos de las casas para saber su antigüedad.

No hay mejor forma de descubrir una ciudad que con un tour con una guía que conozca la ciudad en profundidad, y ese fue el caso de este tour con Nery, que teniendo siempre una sonrisa en la cara, nos llevó por todo el casco antiguo aportando datos constantemente y haciendo que el recorrido fuera súper ameno y entretenido. Lo recomiendo sin duda.

Una manera muy adecuada de pasear por el barrio antiguo (Gamla Stan), y conocer cosas que, de otro modo, tendrías que ir buscando en una guía. Vanesa fue muy maja y estaba muy familiarizada con todo. Lo único es que se hizo un poco corto: habría preferido que fuera algo más largo (2h 30 en lugar de 1h 30) y haber cubierto todo el barrio.

Our guide seemed very nice and professional but there were just too many people on the tour! Over 50 for sure. We could not hear a word he was saying even though he wore a mic, just way too many people crowding around. We ended up wandering off after ten minutes which was a shame as we were looking forward to it.

Pretty good tour overall. The content was fine, a little rushed at the end , but as we were heading for a thunderstorm it was understandable. Not so sure about the quizzing on the tour, just wasn't my cuppa tea- would prefer more info than being asked questions. Liked been shown things off the beaten track though.

Tour guide was a real good soul. She was very accommodating and took an Interest in anyone who connected with her. Easy to book and easy to find. My only suggestion is to have more info on the history of old town and the people who live and lived there and less about Swedish history. Prisca is a jewel.
