Dan is a fantastic tour guide and I can wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone wanting to get to know the city of Stockholm.
From the start of the tour, Dan let us know that the tour was dense and that we would cover a lot of information- this was certainly true. I learned so much in 2.5 hours about a huge range of topics in the city: architecture, history, politics. All of the information was well researched and delivered in an entertaining and engaging way.
One particular aspect of the tour which I appreciated was that Dan was very courteous to other people in the street. Although we were a group, stopping now and then to look at things, Dan made sure that we weren’t disruptive to other people. Details like this make evident his deep-rooted respect for the city and his passion for teaching others about it.

“Good but little too Long”
Dan is a good tour guide but the tour was little too long and started getting boring. One hour is more than enough. There needs to be little stop points in two hour review to rest your legs if your touring with children. Also need to bring some humour to the tour. Most importantly the tour guide must be dressed freshly because the bad body odour can be smelled from standing far away. It’s difficult to say that but someone should be aware if they are in public space.

“Enjoyable and informative”
Dan gave a fluent, well-prepared and amusing tour, with insights into the use, construction, politics and economics of many old-town buildings. This applied both to major landmarks (palace, parliament) and to houses which could otherwise go unnoticed. The pace of walking was gentle. My children aged 9 and 14 remained interested throughout.

“A beautiful tour through Stockholm's goverment district and old ”
The tour was fantastic. You learnt lots of
details about Stockholm that you would never have seen on your own as a tourist. And altough we were only a small group of 3 People, the guide was very motivated and led the tour with a lot of passion. It was very entertaining and informative.

We had over 2 hours packed with interesting information and Dan was open to provide additional info if we asked. He showed us details we would totally have missed if we were on our own, but (unlike other tours we've been on) never exaggerated giving dates, names and facts we'd forget in 5 minutes. Highly recommended.

We were a group of 17 teenagers/students and two teachers. Dan was exceptionally kind in adapting the tour to our needs. The students really enjoyed the tour, he had a tremendous knowledge about the place we visited. However, from the teacher’s point of view he was a bit hectic, and spoke extremely fast in order to include all the knowledge he knew. In the end, there was a uncomfortable situation for us teachers, because he did not seem to be satisfied with the amount of money we gave him. However, it was only one group, many students, there is a fixed budget for such a school-tour and it is advertised as “give as much as you can” or even “free”, and that was as much as the teenagers could give for such a tour. If they are expecting more money, they should not advertise it like that or mention that there are some fees the provider takes from the guide, but we did not find any fees mentioned somewhere, which are taken by the provider from the guide’s tip nor have we been informed by the guide that he will not keep 100% for himself.

“Cool Tour!”
We booked a tour in Jan 2023. Even if the weather was fairly nasty that day, Dan was quite dedicated and delivered a great tour! His knowledge of Stockholm is impressive and he is very open to further questions during the tour. At the same time, it's very entertaining due to his amusing remarks and fun facts. He asked for our personal preferences so we got a somehow customized tour! When the cold wind got stronger he was able to modify the tour in a sophisticated way so that we got most of the impressions but stayed warm at the same time. It was a very great experience that I would recommend to everyone

Thank you for the tour - the whole thing was great. The kids liked the coins, painting of the houses, construction of the new palace, all sorts of facts about wars, about things with Denmark. It was cold and windy, but the tour was excellent!

“Adaptable planification of a very complete tour”
Very nice guide who adapted very easily to our group needs (we were two different groups, 8 in total, all of us coming for Southern Europe and with little time to visit the city). The tour run between Norrmalm and Gamla Stan and the information went from historical contextualisation to practical information about where to eat, or what to visit.

“Do not book with this provider ”
The guide did not show up at the meeting point. Starting time has been 11.00 and I have waited there from 10.45 till 11.20. Nobody came. They did not bother to inform me, that tour has been canceled, probably, or just do not care about their customers.
Several free walking tours booked already and for the first time such an experience.

We feel like we saw a lot of important stuff, even though we haven't seen that much of the city. The stories were very interesting (we loved the guide's enthusiasm!) but sometimes a little too long. He always found the cold windy places to tell his stories, haha! We recommend on the first day of your visit
