A city stretched across the banks of the River of Vistula and the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus, a gothic architectural marvel in Poland filled with a UNESCO recognized site that is the downtown.
Birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus, a city located on both banks of the Vistula River, has the greatest wealth of Gothic architecture in Poland. Its historic center, with a highly original distribution, is part of the list of UNESCO Monuments.
In this city, the Plaza Mayor stands out, with the Town Hall in its central part. From the top of the town hall tower you can see a wonderful panoramic view. Other monuments are the statue of Copernicus, the Copernicus family house, three Gothic churches, the defensive walls and medieval entrances to the city, the ruins of a castle of the Teutonic Knights and the Crooked Tower.
Among the churches, the one of Santiago Apóstol stands out, since in the Middle Ages Toruń was on the Camino de Santiago from northeastern Europe to the Iberian Peninsula. In addition, numerous museums, a planetarium and an open-air museum of traditional architecture.
Torun is also the capital of piernik, known in Spanish as spice and honey bread/cake.

“Muy buen tour”
Merece la pena descubrir la ciudad con Karolinna. Repetiriamos.
