Very glad I booked this tour for my husband and myself, great prompt communication from Joey. Turned out to be a private tour as no other people
turned up so we had a fantastic one on one tour showing us areas we'd never have known about. Joey really knows his history and was passionate about showing us a unique part of Rome. Saw some cute alleyways, received plenty of interesting facts about the buildings, identities and families of Rome. Then at the end we were offered suggestions for further places of interest for us to seek out ourselves.

“The perfect tour!!”
We had an amazing experience on this free guided tour in Rome! Even though only two people showed up, our guide still came and gave us a fantastic tour. He was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights from ancient Rome to modern times.
The tour lasted about 2.5 hours, and we especially loved the side facts he shared on every street—it made the city come alive in a whole new way. Thanks to him, we discovered so many cool details we would have never noticed on our own.

Joey’s “Hidden Gems” tour was real interesting as he takes you to parts of Rome many tourists probably don’t take enough time to explore. He was enthusiastic the entire tour, kind, patient and relatable. Be really knows his content!
The only thing I did not like about it was how he awkwardly asked for a tip at the end.
Otherwise, I would highly recommend this tour to all tourists!

I have been in dozens of Free Walking Tours and this was easily the best one I have taken.
Let us start from the guide. Joey is an amazing guide. He is extremely enthsiastic and passionate about what he talks about and about shring it with the group. He is familiar with the details inside and out, and he knows what he is talking about. All of that while being an interesting, chrismatic, and fun person.
The tour takes the group around sites which are not your typical "beaten route", but instead, some places and some figures that are a bit around. This is a very fresh change from most of your run-of-the-mill tours which always repeat some kind of a formula.
Highly recommended, and a huge thank you to Joey the guide.

Hinweise zu Sachen, die man normalerweise übersehen würde. Der Guide ist wirklich spitze und kann zu allem und jedem was erzählen. Außerdem sind seine Empfehlungen am Ende nochmal richtig gut, wenn man den Abend ausklingen lassen will.

It was a real pleasure to attend at that tour. As anyone knows, history is all around in Rome but at this Tour you are learning a lot more little and lovely details about the history of the eternal City, it can be a whole new experience to walk around Rome and keep your eyes open for all of this hidden Gems. We really enjoyed this tour very much.
Joey, is a funny interactive person, talking to him feels like you have known him for years. Apart from that he is a good story teller and knows a lot about history and his stuff (trust me he is a walking library) so don't worries about that, you will know all the information at the end.
Highly recommended, especially if you want to know the hidden gems of Rome!
PS: I have taken some tours from FreeTour.com and this is one of the best ones.

The biggest success of this tour is the wonderful guide. The insights, the stories and the sense of humour are worth the medal. At the same time, the places visited were exceptional, unseen and unrecognised by the eyes of the average tourist, and unlikely to be discovered on their own. Thank you immeasurably and I strongly recommend it to everyone

We did the tour with Joey today and it was really cool! Joey guides you with a lot of enthusiasm and humor and shows you sides of the city that you hadn’t noticed by yourself. Would definitely recommend the tour!

“Amazing and authentic tour”
The tour was great, since it was a smaller group this time it was very personal and you were able to ask questions. The story that he was telling blew my mind. You really see the city in a different perspective. And Joey was explaning everthing with so much passion, that was really nice to see. Was absolutely worth the time, big recommendation!
