“A vivid picture of Pula”
Finding our guide Martina was very easy and she quickly made us feel comfortable by introducing us to the queen of the square - Mika the cat. What followed was a charming tour through Pula (and Istria) past and present, with spotlights in many directions: Sightseeing and culinaria as well as architecture, cultural activities, everyday life and economy. We covered the complete historic city center and in the end felt quite familiar with Pula - what more could you ask for?

“Great Walking Tour”
The day started with pouring rain and we thought no way will the tour go ahead, but we went to the meeting point and our guide Martina was there and very positive. The rain stopped and this was one of the best tours we have ever had. In the end there were only 8 of us. Martina was fun, informative and spoke very clearly. Due to the slow start it lasted almost 2 1/2 hours. We would highly recommend.

Van alle free spirit walking tours die we al gedaan hebben was dit de minst aangename tour. Het accent van onze gids Matija was soms moeilijk te begrijpen. De inhoud van de tour was voornamelijk een geschiedenisles over Kroatië en Istrië en minder over de bezienswaardigheden in Pula. Over het kasteel is zelfs zeer weinig vermeld. De gids maakte ook vaak grapjes waarmee hij zelf lachte. Dit maakte de sfeer wat awkward. Dit zorgde er ook voor dat het soms moeilijk uit te maken was of een verhaal een grapje was of werkelijkheid.
Jammer, want de walking tours in Split, Zadar, Zagreb en Dubrovnik waren wel heel leuk!

We have been staying in Pula and decided to take a walking tour. Our tour guide was Martini and she was amazing! So knowledgeable. She gave us lots of historical information and was very entertaining. We learned so much and had a great time. She gave us great tips on other places outside of Pula to visit as well as different local spots to check out. I would highly recommend others to visit Pula and definitely do a walking tour and I would for sure take another tour with Martini!

“Easy going tour guide means easy going tour ”
For the guide, all good tours are a balancing act between getting their information out and dealing with questions (interruptions). Since our group was small, and I was doing the interrupting, I thought our guide did a great job. His geography and history angle put what we were looking at into a useful perspective. Matija also handled the important post-tour questions like how to catch a bus and where to eat. 10 / 10

“Worth your time and attention ”
We travel a good bit. This tour was heads above our experiences because of the guide: Matija Zivkovic.
He was engaging, insightful, and included everyone. Both of my children asked numerous questions and he was consistently supportive of their curiosity and interest.
He shared so much information, at different paces. It is obvious that he is an educator and connector at heart who has chosen to build skill on his talents.

“Discovering the town of Pula with Martini”
We did the Free walking tour with my partner and we strongly recommend it to everyone. Our guide Martina or "Martini" was leading us through the town with awesome energy, using every shadow possible to guarantee our confort. She provided useful informations, good tips and did a really good job, explaining complicated history of this ancient place. She's also recommended us an amazing restaurant, where we had one of the best fishes in our life. We've really enjoyed it.

A great way to see Pula. There is a coverage of the history, identifying points of interest that one might not necessarily see or find alone, the groups are manageably smaller and limited numbers so you get a more intimate and personal experience. “Not as we expected ”
Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to experience the tour, the guide did not want to take us since it was just the 2 of us that showed up.. Apparently there is a minimum of 5 people per tour. This was pretty disappointing.. She gave us some pointers what to do, where to go and was genuinely very friendly.. But we didn’t get what we came for.. We suggest that you point that rule out so that people know that it is a possibility there will be no tour..

“Amazing Tour Despite Bad Weather”
I recently went on a tour with Edi, and despite the bad weather, our guide made the experience truly enjoyable. She was fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time. During the tour, we took a coffee break to wait for the bad weather to change. Our guide kept us entertained with interesting stories and facts, and never made us feel like we were wasting time. In fact, she was happy to answer all of our questions and even gave us extra time to explore the area. “Not very interesting, not much content”
The guide was trying to make a good atmosphere and to give some tips of where to eat and what to do. However, my overal rating is low as there was not much content in the tour. We were walking the streets and stopping at places to receive a kind of a history lesson of the country with not much context of Pula. There was content which didn't have any meaning like some explanation about the Starbucks logo which has in the end nothing to do with Croatia or Pula. Not much information on the historical background of Pula, important ancient sites (even if they were destroyed inhe war) and how was the city at the time of Romans. I learnt much more by walking the streets on my own and reading the city boards. Definitely one of the lowest quality tours I ever made.
