With our Daytrip to Pilsen and Nižbor we will leave Prague at 9:00. A few kilometers from Prague we will turn off towards the city of Beroun. Along the banks of the river Berounka we will arrive in about 40 minutes at Nižbor village, in Central Bohemia. Here we will visit the Rückl glass factory, Bohemian type glass.
They will explain to us about the raw material and we will be able to see and touch the wooden molds used to make this artisan glass. Then we will go to the foundry room where the furnaces are located around which the master craftsmen work with their blowing reeds and the assistants with the molds. We will then go on to see the measurement and recycling control room. We will go up to the carving room, but before entering we will learn about each of the phases necessary for the finalization of the glass product. After having seen the production phases live, we will be able to visit the representative store and perhaps we will be encouraged to buy a souvenir.
We will continue for one more hour this excursion to the city of Pilsen and its brewery. At the best-known beer factory in the country, considered the best in the world, the Pilsner Urquell, we will buy the tickets and at the box office we will advance some historical details about the production of beer.
Once with the local guide, we will go out to the patio for a panoramic explanation of the factory. Then we will get on a bus with which we will enter the factory in a large group to visit the transfer room. In this room we will observe the bottle tape and beer cans from a balcony. They will also tell us about the different products of the factory and the types of beer.
Again on the bus we will move to the old brewhouse to see a projection on the ingredients of the Pilsner Urquell and immediately next to it we will be able to see, feel and taste the ingredients. Then we will go down to the brewhouse and at the end to the old warehouses. With closing we will taste a beer made just for visitors. An unfiltered or pasteurized beer, a unique beer without equal.
After the visit to the brewery, you can eat in Pilsen or return to Prague to do so. In an hour and a half trip we will be back in Prague.
