Things to do Sete Cidades E-Bike Adventure

This activity begins in Sete Cidades, one of the most stunning natural landscapes on São Miguel’s west side, about 30 minutes from Ponta Delgada. At the starting point, we begin with a safety briefing and a demonstration of using the e-bike and its functions, which takes about 15 minutes. Once the equipment is distributed, we’re ready for an amazing adventure! The tour starts by crossing the bridge that separates the Blue and Green Lakes, heading towards the Peninsula and Baía do Silêncio, a peaceful picnic area. We then return to the bridge via scenic dirt tracks before tackling a long, steep ascent on the main road, stopping at Lagoa de Santiago and Cerrado das Freiras viewpoints. Continuing upwards, we reach the famous Vista do Rei viewpoint, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the twin lakes and the abandoned Monte Palace hotel. From here, we take a more adventurous trail along Cumeeira Pequena, providing spectacular views. As we descend, we pass the Lomba do Vasco Viewpoint before arriving back in the heart of Sete Cidades. The route takes us past the Church Matriz de São Nicolau, leading us to the start point and completing this incredible journey through nature.
