DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind that our tours are done hybrid, both German/English (depending on the group itself) Keep in mind that tours on Sunday may differ because of local opening hours. Join us for a stroll through over twelve centuries of European history embedded in a vibrant and modern city. The square in front of today’s St. Paul’s Cathedral bustles with life, especially on Wednesdays and Saturdays when the vast farmer's market attracts locals and visitors alike. The adjacent ‘Prinzipalmarkt’ (= ‘main market’), with its picturesque pediments and arcades that had been almost completely destroyed during World War II. It has since been restored to its former glory and once again bears witness to the struggles between merchants and clergy seeking to stake their claim on the city’s fortune. Following the ubiquitous cyclists down the lively boulevard, we reach the historic City Hall, an outstanding landmark in European History. Hear about the tense and eventful negotiations which took place in this very building before finally resulting in the Peace of Westphalia in 1648. Join us to get a local view of how history becomes reality.

Ich habe schon einige Free Walking-Touren mitgemacht und diese war definitiv eine der besten! Jan war ab dem ersten Moment in seinem Element: Er war offen, sympathisch und ist auf jede unserer Fragen super eingegangen. Es gab viele tolle Insider-Tipps und ich hatte das Gefühl, wir haben wirklich die Stadt Münster gesehen und nicht nur die teuren Touristen-Spots.

“Many facts about Münster”
I had a great tour done by Jan. He knew al lot about the city and could tell us a lot of interesting facts. Also he had really good recommendations for food which I followed. The only thing which I think was a bit lacking was the fact that there was not really a common thread in his story. So we got bitts but one longer story throughout the whole tour would have been great.
Also Jan was really interesting in us a visitors and was asking a lot if questions. The almost 2 hours we've spend with him, I really enjoyed.

“Stadtfest 2023 Münster ”
We had a great tour during the "Stadtfest" with Jan! He was very kind and showed us the city for about 2h and included historical facts as same as local recommendations. We had an amazing time and he respected everyones needs due to the heat as well. Thanks again!

“Very fun tour!”
I really enjoyed the tour with our guide Jan. The tour was well organized with an easy to find, central meeting place. We visited some places I would have definitely missed on my own, and of course, Jan had many interesting, fun, but also tragic stories to tell. Amount of information was good, not too much and not too little. I also liked all the recommendations for places to eat and have a coffee. Can definitely recommend.

I had the pleasure of taking a guided tour in Münster, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience thanks to our tour guide. From the moment the tour began, it was evident that our guide was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind and passionate about the city.
His depth of knowledge about Münster's history, architecture, and culture was truly impressive. He effortlessly shared captivating anecdotes, historical facts, and interesting trivia that added a layer of depth to the places we visited. It was evident that he had done his homework and was well-prepared to answer any question that came his way. His storytelling ability made the history of Münster come alive, and I found myself completely engrossed in the narratives he shared.

The tour was interesting. The guide showed interest in those who followed the tour to discuss topics apart from the city. At the arrival it was not directly clear where the guide was, but that might have to do with the crowded place :)

Although we had some delay due to the train, Jan contacted us and we could still join the tour without any problems. Then he showed us in a short time important and beautiful spots in Münster. He did not overwhelm us with facts and dates, but wrapped some in stories and anecdotes, so that we could take a lot with us!
In addition, Jan gave us individual tips and recommendations for cafes, restaurants and bars, so that the rest of our stay in Münster was also a complete success :)

Schöne Stadtführung durch Münster mit vielen auch unbekannten Ecken. Kleine Geschichten zu zu einzelnen Orten mal amüsant mal nachdenklich. Leider fehlte der Friedenssaal im Kontext. Gute Tipps für Gastronomie.

Our tour with Jan was excellent. With the time we had we were able to get a good image about Münster. Jan is an experienced guide and he introduced a lot of curious facts about the history and the arquitechture of the city and he even customize the tour to adapt it to our 5 months old baby. We would repeat without a doubt!
