We will start our tour along the Dijle River to learn about the origins of the city before entering its historic center. We will visit the Grote Markt and the Cathedral of St. Rumboldt, symbol of Mechelen and one of the most impressive churches in Flanders.
We will follow in the footsteps of Margaret of Austria and Margaret of York visiting their former palaces, as well as the residence of Hieronymus van Busleyden, a key figure of Renaissance humanism.
During the walk we will explore hidden gardens, historic courtyards and picturesque alleys that reveal the most authentic side of the city.
