This tour mission is to share the kind of insider information I would want to have as a traveler, from the perspective of a born-and-raised Heraklion local, immerse yourself into Heraklion like a local!
Hi there! I’m Telé, and welcome to Heraklion!
As a traveler myself, I love exploring new places through the eyes of locals. Now, I’m excited to share my city with you!
This tour is about connecting with the local, authentic, and sometimes hidden realities of the city: its struggles, its beauty, and the challenges that locals face today. We will explore not only monuments and streets, but also talk about social, political, and environmental issues that shape life here. If you are curious, open-hearted, and ready to see more than just the surface, I would be happy to walk with you!
Please note: everyone is welcome here, except for hate. There's no room here for colonialist, racist, or any other form of oppressive views.

“very satisfied thank you ”
Tele was simply wonderful: warm, passionate, and deeply knowledgeable about the history and hidden corners of Heraklion. Thanks to her, we not only learned a lot but also felt right at home and explored neighborhoods we would have never discovered on our own! She also speaks Spanish, which was incredibly helpful since my mom doesn’t understand much English. Absolutely recommended!

“Best walking tour in Heraklion”
Tele gave an excellent walking tour of Heraklion. It was an engaging tour because of her knowledge of the city’s historical background, and the meanings and stories behind each place. I particularly appreciated learning about Nikos Kazantzakis’s tomb and the history of the Venetian walls. Plus, she is an extremely fun person to talk with! Highly recommended!

“Great tour ”
Even though we booked the tour only 3 hours in advance, the organization was excellent.
Tele, the local guide, was great. I recommend her 100%. Very friendly, flexible and enthusiastic, she answered all the questions we asked. Furthermore we had interesting conversations about culture, history, languages and the actual situation in Crete and Greece. The tour was beyond our expectations!
