This tour was great. We tried a few Ghent/Belgian classics for free, with wonderful insight from the guide and kindness from the places that gave us the food. The guide, Julian, was so knowledgeable and gave us recommendations for the best spots in town. Highly recommend!

“Late and unorganized ”

The guide showed up about 15 minutes late for the tour. I don’t know if it is typical but we had to wait at the waffle and fries stop for the food to be prepared. We spent more time waiting around than anything else. We left the tour early because it felt like a waste of our limited time in Ghent.

“Fun, "Light" Tour, Excellent Guide...”

Essentially a "light" tour...you walk around with a super-pleasant guide and do a few tasting stops...there is some contemporary and historical insight offered...a nice way to spend time in a great city.

“Wonderful Tasting Tour!”

Our Guide , whos name we forgot, but he had long hair and a slender built, was very experienced and gave historical insight into the 4 most famous foods and beverages (that is waffles, beer, belgian fries and chocolate) in Belgium. We also could taste everything (except beer) including a sweet Ghent is known for (Cuberdon). He also introduced us to shops which produce locally and gave recommendations to places to buy local foods. Overall we were very happy with the tour and can highly recommend it !

The tour with Julien was a lot of fun. He is very enthusiastic and shared interesting facts about Gent with the group while we tried some typical and tasty treats. We had waffles, cubredons, frites and chocolate, and by the end of the tour he also gave us some cupons for us to have some beers in local pubs. It was definitely worth it.

Evy was our guide and she was fantastic - engaging, super friendly, a source of great information, and with a fabulous sense of humour!
