What a gem! Lasting about an hour, it was packed with fascinating stories, clever humour, and just the right bit of craic as we wandered from Spanish Arch to Eyre Square
Our guide, Ultan, blended local folklore and history seamlessly—think Lynch’s Castle vibes, stories about Oscar Wilde statues, and interesting tales of Galway’s old merchant tribes and secret doorways. It was informative yet relaxed—never like a lecture, more like chatting with a witty friend.
The experience only got better when we wrapped up in a cozy local pub. Instead of just getting handed a pint, each of us poured our own Guinness—a fun, hands-on touch! Then we toasted together over discounted drinks and soaked up atmosphere complete with craic. Plus, we got to take home a Polaroid souvenir, such a fun keepsake!!
Highly recommend if you’re in Galway and want a little local magic—without spending a euro (unless it’s a tip!)
