I booked a tour for 10am on December 16 for my boyfriend’s birthday which I received an email confirmation for on December 14. No one showed up at the meeting point and despite trying to call, email, message and WhatsApp, no luck contacting them until two hours later when they sent a WhatsApp asking if we still wanted a tour and apologising their booking system was having issues. They offered a private tour later that day but I didn’t want to chance it. I don’t like leaving a negative review, as I’m sure if they fixed this problem, we would have had a great experience. We rebooked with another company later in the day which saved the situation .

I put the lowest point for organisation because 1 late evening before even my flight to Porto i received a message that time changes. I asked if you can confirm new time on 9th of October. They replied that they confused with the date, thought i have a bookimg 8th. I asked if the time then stays the same on my tour, they replied yes. I come on that time and nobody is there. I call, nobody answers. I write, and only then they reply about misunderstanding. Its not huge problem, i had coffee and so on, but i had to reorganise my whole day. I know that its not my guide Emma. So wishing you, guys, get better structure of work ????

If I am being brutally honest it was a pleasant morning but not the best tour we have done. It seemed to lack historical detail and we expected more about the evolution of Porto which we didn't really learn so much about. The Portuguese ruled half rhe world at one point in time but we didn't discover the reason behind it.
Our guide was very polite and friendly and it was a pleasure to be in her company

Our guide Alessia was very nice and I learned a lot about Porto’s history and some fun facts as well. The walk was easy even though the weather was really warm. We saw a lot of the important hisorical parts of Porto, which made them easier to find later on for further visits.

“An Interesting Tour but make your meeting point clear. ”
A friend and I had a guided tour with Alissia who told us lots of fun anecdotes, the kind i might remember. The thing I like about guided tours is that they give me a very positive feel for a city so then I can take it from there.
One thing I would like to point out to City Lovers Tour company is the need for exact indications with regard to the meeting point. We were in front of the cafe but in fact the meeting point was in the "esplanade" with the statue of I don't know who and give the guide an orange T-shirt. Thankfully, Alissia messaged me and solved the problem.

“Fun walking tour with Ana! ”
We visited Porto for the first time in May 2025 and had Ana as our walking tour guide. She was very friendly, informative and engaging. We enjoyed the tour from start to finish and would highly recommend. We loved Porto too and hope to visit again in the future.
