Dark side of Porto Free Tour

Our Dark side of Porto Free Tour explores the more unknown side of Porto, telling what is usually ignored about the city, its mysteries, crimes and legends. We also visit some of the most famous monuments, such as the Clérigos Tower or Sao Bento Station, but we do it from this dark perspective that will lead us to discover its most hidden secrets.

We start our tour at Praça da Liberdade, where we will discover the macabre past of this emblematic epicentre of the city.

We then pass by Sao Bento station, where we will meet Porto's most famous ghost, before crossing Rua das Flores and facing one of the most enigmatic unsolved crimes in Portuguese history. After this, we enter the Jewish quarter, where we will talk about the many persecutions this community had to face, to the point of becoming a secret community.

We will also pass by the old prison and the courtyard of the hanged, where we will listen to some of the most famous prisoners, such as the Portuguese Robin Hood or the martyrs of freedom. Our route will continue to take us to the old Armenian quarter and the Ribeira, where we will finish the Dark side of Porto Free Tour on the banks of the Douro.
