The tour begins with a guided walk through Porto’s historic center, starting at the iconic Avenida dos Aliados, where you'll admire the stunning architecture. Just ahead stands the majestic Clérigos Tower, and your guide will also highlight other notable spots, including the renowned McDonald’s, considered one of the most beautiful in the world.
Next, we’ll visit São Bento Train Station, where the guide will share its intriguing history and the significance of its famous tile panels that depict important moments in Portuguese culture. From there, we’ll walk up to the Cathedral of Sé, one of the oldest monuments in the city. We’ll take a moment to enjoy the panoramic views and learn about this iconic site (external visit only) before continuing to the Fernandina Wall for even more breathtaking vistas of Porto.
After our walking tour, we’ll board our comfortable bus at Batalha Square and head to Vila Nova de Gaia to visit a traditional Port wine cellar. You’ll learn about the production process of this famous wine and enjoy a tasting of three different Port varieties.
We’ll take a break for an optional lunch at a local restaurant (or free time for lunch), with options like the famous Francesinha or Bacalhau, accompanied by wine or water.
Following lunch, we’ll embark on a one-hour cruise along the Douro River on a Rabelo boat, allowing you to appreciate the six bridges connecting Porto and Gaia while taking in a unique panoramic view of the city.
Once back on land, we’ll reboard the bus and head to Foz do Douro, one of Porto’s most charming neighborhoods, where you’ll have free time to enjoy the stunning views of the Atlantic coast and the Castelo do Queijo.
We’ll conclude our tour with a panoramic drive through the Boavista area, passing by the iconic Casa da Música and Serralves Park, before returning to our starting point in the city center.
