Primeramente ellos te invitan te brindan algunos ejemplares, luego ud mismo(a) se debe pagar otro que es lo minimo ya que brindan descuentos los propios ambulantes callejeros culinarios; y nuestro guia nos entretuvo, educó, y nos enamoró con su cocina propia. “Fantastic food tour by Irma ”
Our guide, Irma, did a very nice job explaining the history behind classic Peruvian dishes and showing us how to spot high-quality food. All the information was interesting, and Irma was very engaging. My girlfriend and I learned and had a lot of fun.

“Corn, and Ceviches, and alfajores Oh My!”
My only complaint about this food tour is that I can't do it again every day! Celestina was our guide on January 16, 2026, and we were treated to a surprise all-girls group. I can' say enough about how wonderful Celestina was. She was knowledgable about the neighborhood, and Lima generally, as well as all of the delicious food we were trying. Celestina is local to Lima central, so she was really able to give us a local's perspective.
The highlights to me were certainly the ceviches and the corn, but there were no misses at all.
If you are looking for a unique and delicious addition to your trip to Lima, this must be on your list!

“Highly recommendable”
I was looking for a free food tour in Lima, and I found this trip advisor account, and I discovered they had cooking class. I booked the cooking class, and the meeting point was near to the Historic Centre. The guide picked me up and took me to "his house", where the cooking class was incredible. It lasted 2 hours learning how to make a delicious ceviche, a pisco sour and a lomo saltado. I really enjoyed it

“Like going out with an old friend!”
Did the Foodie tour with Gabriel and we could not have had a better time. He took us to several places and we sampled traditional and trendy gourmet food! Gabriel is a wonderful guide, and as he led us from place to place, several of which you could have walked by without even knowing there was a restaurant there, he kept us engaged talking about markets, people, and the food of Lima. The free tour was genuine and enjoyable, and felt a bit ‘Parts Unknown’, out with an old friend. Can’t recommend Gabriel enough. Simply a fantastic night out!

“Great tour in the nicest district of Lima”
Great guide with a lot of interested information to share. The places we visited where beautiful and the food delicious.The most I personally liked was the chifa food which is a mix of peruvian chinesse. Highly recommended.

“Exciting food tour!”
Our tour guide was Jon Manuel. My wife and I travel a lot and this time we decided to take a food tour. Our experience last night was one of the best (if not the best). Manuel was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the Lima and very knowledgeable about the cuisine, very hospitable and with a great sense of humor.

“Amazing Food Tour”
Emy was amazing during the tour. She was very informative and joyful throughout the tour. She displayed so much love for the Peruvian food, culture, and provided a lot of historical context. We had great conversations during the car rides and during the tour. My fiancé and I got engaged in Peru and she was so nice to tell one of the restaurant owners about it and they gave us a complimentary dessert congratulating us. This is one for the books and I will never forget. I will like to come back for a food tour with my family. Me encanto mucho la comida peruana. ???? we recomend Amy! The food, the breakfast, coffee, pisco sour, and cebiche making was amazing! The liquidado de Lucuma is a 10/10 ☺️

“Excellent guide, good filling midday tour”
Our guide Jimena was very well informed, friendly and great company. She guided us through an excellent tour of local delicacies, coffee and chocolate and finally ice cream. We turned up hungry and probably won’t need to eat for a week. Good value and a fun way to spend 2 hours.

“Great Local Food Experience and Amazing Guide”
Great guide, great food, and a fun way to explore real Peruvian flavors in the local markets. Perfect if you want to eat well and learn the stories behind the food.
I had a great time experiencing local food and being brought into the local markets to try the real flavors of Peru!
Our guide Jimena was super helpful and always made sure we felt safe while walking through the crowded market areas. He explained the backstory of each food, including the cultural influences from different regions and countries and how these dishes originated.
We had a small group of 3 and the tour lasted about 2hrs. The cost of $0-1.5 USD was worth it for the amount of food we tried and for the chance to learn the origin stories behind each dish by your guide tipped $30 each one. I arrived hungry and left fully satisfied since we tried a lot of snacks and almost a full meal!
I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience local food and learn a bit of history about how these dishes came to be in Peru.

Todo muy bien con nuestra guía, excelente atención, puntos elegidos de comida peruana muy buenos y variados, desde frutas, ceviche, dulces, anticuchos. Ella muy simpática y siempre nos mantuvo informados de todos los detalles de cada cosa que probamos argumentanoa cada hiatoria de cada entrada de cada platillo de cada postre de cada sopa.
