Things to do Free Tour Historic Center & Getsemani
Enjoy Cartagena, two visits in one, free walking tour: Walled City and Getsemaní. We start at the Camellón de Los Mártires - Plaza de Cervantes, we move to the Clock Tower entering the Plaza del Ecuador, before the Slavery, to continue the route of slavery. There we are welcomed by the Founder Pedro de Heredia and the "Portal de Los Dulces", a feminine symbol in times of slavery. The Conquest: Trade of merchandise including that of the enslaved. Religion and art are not alien to the tour, we will visit the San Pedro Claver Square, Churches and Cathedral, we will pass by the "Palace of the Inquisition", seat of the Tribunal of the Holy Office. Do you like the exploits of pirates and corsairs? We will visit a Spanish bastion, construction and military strategy, we will go to the Plaza Bolivar, homage to the precursor of the Independence. We will visit the sloths, squirrels, iguanas and monkeys that move freely through the Centennial Park. We will enjoy GETSEMANI, the most important and colorful cultural corridor of Cartagena: umbrellas, graffiti and unparalleled architecture. We enter the Callejón Ancho, to finish the tour in the Plaza del Pozo, with salsa and African champeta.

The guided tour we did in Cartagena with Legaxy (our guide) was absolutely amazing! He shared with us many interesting facts about the history of the country and the city, in such original and funny ways that it makes it really easy to remember. Plus, his energy and enthusiasm during the tour made it such a nice experience, we didn't see the 2h30 pass! If you stay until the end, you will also get great food, bars and activities recommendations, as well as useful tips and indications on tourism traps to avoid. We made great use of it right after the tour. Really recommend this tour to everyone passing through Cartagena!

“Best local tour going”
This tour is amazing! So full of information not just on the dry history of Cartagena but actually a rich history of the indigenous people, the slaves, and the Spanish colonialists and how complex the local language, character and culture is as a result. Fascinating. We had spent the morning doing the museums of Cartagena and suddenly Daniela brought everything we’d looked at to life in such an interesting way, giving it context and meaning. And it doesn’t feel like a 2 hour walk, either, it’s manageable with lots of rest stops. Definitely recommend!

“Tour libre por la ciudad de Cartagena ”
Hoy con mi esposo tomamos el tour con Ingrid y su compañero, fue muy agradable, conocimos mucho de la ciudad y su historia, me encantó la dinámica que tiene Ingrid para relatar la historia y hacernos vibrar con la energía de cartagena, hasta gozamos al ritmo de la champeta. Es un tour que recomiendo!

Recomiendo el tour! Fue muy organizando, cumplieron con el horario. Brindan información sobre diversos temas.. historia, gastronomía, música, cine, recomendaciones para conocer la ciudad. Recorrimos la ciudad a un buen ritmo. Es útil para tener un pantallazo general de Cartagena. Saludossss

Nos tocó el tour con Ingrid, un agrado tener a una local que se nota que adora su tierra, mostrándonos la historia y la cultura cartaginesa. Además, nos entregó distintos tips para disfrutar de una mejor maneja nuestra estadía, lo cual siempre se agradece.
Nos hizo bailar, reír y aprender, realmente recomendado el tour y su increíble guía. También Didier fue muy amable y nos ayudó durante el paseo.
