I attended many walking tours with different agencies and that one was definitely worst organized I’ve ever experienced. Me and my wife signed up for a food tour in English. We were at the meeting point on time and we found out that there is only a Spanish guide. They organized a guide for us but he was like 20 minutes late and he was a student, not 100% prepared to make a tour. I don’t blame him because he was called on the spot and had no real chance to prepare. He was very friendly and he made a great effort to explain everything to us but his English was not super fluent and he simply was not that experienced. In my opinion he was also put in the difficult situation by the company, the same as we did.
At the same time we were following the tour that was run be a Spanish guide but the lady (guide) didn’t even pay any attention to us. For example she gave away some food samples to the participants of the Spanish tour but not to us. On the other hand she always wanted us to join the pictures and as we know she did it because the company obliges guides to present such pictures. At the end of the tour the Spanish guide even left us, I mean me, my wife and the student who was our guide so we couldn’t finish the tour properly.
The tour was carried so unprofessional as if they were doing it for the first time. Total chaos and disorganization with no respect to the clients who signed up and specified the language of the tour in advance.
The only positive thing about the tour was the student who became our guide as he really tried hard to do his job so when he gets more experience and a bit better English skills he has a good potential to be a great guide.
