Our Discover Bratislava - Free Tour can last up to 2.25 hours because we specialize in small groups, and we see most of the city and castle. No matter what the weather, our task is to give you a crash course in Bratislava / Slovakia, and we think we do it quite well. We will see the most important Main Square, Old National Theater, Orchestra, UFO, St. Martin's Cathedral, Bratislava Castle, Slovak National Parliament, etc., and all on one tour! “Great guide and tour”
This was a lovely tour highlighting different parts of the old town. My one big complaint is the lack of information related to the 20th century. The 2 world wars, holocaust and the break up of the country were barely mentioned. We were told to sign up for the other tour that focused solely on the 20th century. But after countless tours like this, it was very surprising how the tour chose to focus on a sculpture of a smiling man versus spending some time talking about interesting topics like the break up of the country from the Czech Republic.

Domi was really helpfull, and kind. The tour itself was also good, we see almost everything what we wanted, if we had some questions, we was able to ask, but we also get a lot of information from the tourguide.
If you are looking for a small tour with the most attractions covered in the city center, then I recommend give this a try.

Martina was a great tour guide, even with a big group she was always attentive that everyone was gathered, could hear her and that could understand the information she was sharing. The guide was great, very nice, interesting and easy to understand. All of the tour was interesting. The only thing is that he recommended us a place to eat that was very expensive (nearly 90€ for three adults and two kids, we drink tap wáter, one beer and one coke, and the kids only had a piece of grilled chicken, we had the garlic soup in bread and another (small) plate of gnochhi dumplings to share, and one Apple strudel to share). If we had known, we would have gone to another place, as we had seen places with menús for 7/8€ per person. We felt like we had been completely ripped-off. Other than that, the tour was good.

Martina was an excellent guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a very complete and well-structured tour, especially when it came to the history of the region. She was also very friendly and shared great recommendations on where to eat and what to do.
What made the experience even more special were the little local touches, such as the traditional sweets she gave us to try. She really helped us feel closer to the local culture and encouraged us to step out of our comfort zone and try typical regional food, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our experience.
We highly recommend Martina and this tour to anyone who wants to discover the city, its history, and its local culture in a fun and authentic way!

“Interesting introduction, but too short and not comprehensive en”
The tour was interesting and gave a reasonable introduction to Bratislava, but I found it quite short compared with free walking tours I’ve taken in other cities like Vienna.
My main disappointment was the limited coverage of the Old Town and the relatively light level of historical detail. Bratislava has a lot of interesting history and places to see, but the tour felt like it only scratched the surface. There are several notable spots in the Old Town that the tour doesn’t visit, while I saw other walking tours covering them.
I was also surprised that the tour finished at the entrance to Bratislava Castle without actually taking the group up to the castle. Even the courtyard can be visited without paying an entrance fee, so I would have expected the tour to include at least that part. Ending just before one of Bratislava’s main landmarks felt like a missed opportunity.
Matej was friendly and clearly enthusiastic about Bratislava, with a very good voice that made him easy to listen to. He also did a nice job engaging the group with guessing questions, which helped keep people involved. His presentation style was perhaps a little niche for a general tourist group, with a reference to video games that didn’t seem particularly relevant to everyone, which I personally found interesting. At times he also seemed to struggle to find the right words or keep the explanation flowing. This didn’t ruin the tour, but it did make the delivery feel less polished than some of the free tours I’ve taken elsewhere.
Overall, it was a pleasant introduction to Bratislava, but I would have preferred a longer tour with more historical context, more time exploring the Old Town, and actually visiting the castle rather than ending at its entrance. It’s fine if you want a quick overview, but for a deeper understanding of Bratislava I would look for a more comprehensive walking tour.

Our guide Mili just returned from a long vacation, but was full of energy from the start. On the tour we had a really lovely tour of the old town and climbed all the way to the top of the hill and ended at the castle. Mili was funny, had answers to all of our questions, and even taught us some fun Slovakian traditions. At some points her stories even made me feel emotional. At the end of the tour she teaches you some Slovakian and I went right to one of her suggested restaurants and used it! One of the best meals of my trip. I will definitely return for the 20th Century tour.

Tour guide Roman was knowledgeable, but also funny and spoke flawless English. This made walking around in Bratislava in scorching heat more enjoyable. He went at a good pace (making sure that we hadn’t lost anyone) and always gave us time for exploring and photo-taking after explaining clearly where we would all meet again a few minutes later. Furthermore, the papers he handed out with his favorite Slovak restaurants was a lovely touch, as was

I highly recommend going on this free walking tour as one of the first things you do when you get to Bratislava. Our guide Martina was so organized and knowledgeable! She gave us just the right amount of history and anecdotes to make the tour lively, interesting and informative. Being a local, she was able to add some personal commentary which made the tour extra fun
