Explore Germany's cozy ex-capital through the eyes of a local! On this unique walking tour, uncover layers of rich history hidden behind Bonn's relaxed charm and its iconic status as the gateway to the Romantic Rhine.
Bonn's story began long before it was the reluctant Capital of Germany! A Roman fortress, a hideout for hated religious rebels, and the childhood home of Germany's most famous composer, together with a small and friendly group, we'll mix history with local legends, unknown stories and some German humor (for better or worse) along the way. This tour is perfect for anyone looking to get to know Bonn beyond the beautiful exterior. History lovers, music fans, families, and curious travelers alike will love exploring with us.
Here's what you'll find along the way:
- Bonner Münster, the center point of our growth
- The Beethoven Monument & our favorite son's past in the city
- Our brewing culture, where weddings spark wars & sexy spies come to influence world politics
- The Sterntor, a medieval gate that mirrors Bonn's growth, change, & tradition
- The Altes Rathaus will show you the worst & best of our recent past
- Rhine views of our UN campus & the famous Dragon Rock
…and more gems & fun facts along the way!

“Great Fun and Super Informative”
The tour was super useful, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Caroline was an extremely kind and friendly guide, and we learnt so much about the city's history as well as some of the stories surrounding the different sights throughout Bonn. The tour also helped to brainstorm a few activities, day trips, and restaurants to try out from recommendations she gave us. Great fun and super informative!

“Awesome visit, awesome guide”
The visit happens so naturally even though I was the only one today. The visit was full of interesting and historical facts, context, while there was also space for fun, some jokes and conversation. Honestly a 10/10. The guide Caroline was super open and friendly. Totally recommended if you want to visit Bonn properly

“Great time out in Bonn!!”
Really enjoyed this tour of Bonn. The tour guide did a fantastic job explaining the fun and interesting history of the city. Don’t be fooled by the lack of reviews, this is a new but really good walking tour that I couldn’t reccomend more strongly.
