“Interessante geschiedenis van kunst en politiek”

Een mooie uitgebreide rondleiding door een deskundige gids. Zij verbond de kunstgeschiedenis van art niveau en andere stijlen met de politieke geschiedenis van Brussel en daardoor werd het extra interessant. Je kijkt na afloop met andere ogen naar de gebouwen.

“Por suerte nos tocó otra guía”

Había reservado el toue en francés. Nada màs llegar el guía, Pierre, nos advirtió que no era gratuito. No lo hizo de manera agradable. Al cabo de un rato nos anunció que cancelaba el tour porque solo éramos tres. Nos pasamos al grupo en inglés y tuvimos la suerte de contar con una guía excepcional, María, señora muy culta y enterada. Gracias María

“Brilliant tour of Art Nouveau in Brussels”

The tour was a longer, almost 3 hours and was very imformative. I knew a litte about the subject and now want to learn even more. Initially I thought the planned tour was too long, but time passed very quicky. Our guide Irina was very good at describing each different part of the architecture. She was very knowledgeable in this field.

“Had to quit the tour”

I felt that there was an assumption made by the guide that one must know about art before coming to this tour. Whereas most tourists like me go on it to learn about it in the simplest way through seeing sites. Would have been nice if the guide had taken us through the journey of history of art whilst showing us the sites. It became so irrelevant after 45 mins that I had to quit the tour.

As part of our holiday in Brussels, we took a free guided walk through the Brussels gems of our Art Nouveau. Our guide was Mrs. Marie. She was perfectly prepared. It can be seen from her speech that she enjoys the topic of the tour very much. He speaks very engaging. Her English is well understood by a person with average English. The tour with Maria was a great experience for us.

“Nice tour”

The original tour guide was sick, so Maria took on both the english and french tour all at once. She handled it well, but it resultet in a rather big group around 25 people. Nevertheless no group missed any information and questions were always welcomed. In general the tour was interesting, it just felt a little more like a teacher presenting information than a fun tour with educational contant. Also it would have been nice to know, that the trams in Brussels only allow payment by credit card or pre purchased tickets right now. I can definitely recommend the tour!

“Not bad, but improvable ”

I made the tour in English with Maria. The tour wasn't bad at all but, in my opinion, more content of each building could be added, not only talk about the architect that made it and the payer, I mean technical aspects of the architecture and the stile. In other hand, I would highlight the lack of passion of the guide. It could be a better experience if she had spread her passion to her job to us. Finally, when the tour ended, she asked us to pay 10€ for person, less, for her, was menospreciating her job. Her arguments were that it was a 2h tour and she thinked that 5€/person/hour was the minimum. I have made many free tours and I've never been told the amount to pay. It is always said to give in base of the degree of satisfaction and the posibilities of each person. If she wants a fixed amount, I think the modalities of free tour is not the adecuated.

El tour está muy bien, se recorren distintos edificios de art nouveau. Quizás estaría bien el tour termine en la casa Horta en un horario en el. Que se pueda ingresar, nosotros terminamos 12:30 y hast las 14 no aceptaban visitas individuales. Muchas gracias
