At Saint Anna Monastery, the Annahof, Martin Luther stayed when he defended his teaching against the Pope's delegate, Cajetan. And the Anna church has a specialty inside, because there is a Catholic chapel, the Fugger's chapel, in this Protestant church. On our way to the city hall, we see the rich Augsburg from the Middle Ages, which becomes obvious in the (today's closed) Golden Hall in the city hall, but the Fugger Palace shows it explicitly. Augsburg's wealth was also based on the world heritage water system and channels. The reformation and its torments left their imprints in Augsburg's double-churches, like Saint Afra and Ulrich. And for sure, we won't miss out on building the famous Augsburger Puppenkiste and the famous Augsburg fountains with the Augustus fountain at the top.
