“Great way to see Athens from a different angle”
George’s tour was a fun and engaging one with some light walking! At various stops, he shared the myths and tales of the gods and connected it to modern day thinking - which gave us something to ruminate on. He also gave a good amount of time for photo taking and never rushed anyone.

“The best walking to see Greece”
Georgios was our guide. I made the tour in the afternoon, was pretty good, in the beginning the sun was still burning but he tried to keep us in rhe shade. I really recommend it to you if you like walking, want to see Greece 360° and learn a lot of history. You will walk a lot, like going up and down, but is really worth. The views are amazing up there.

This is the best tour you can do in Athens! You basically see the Acropolis and the most of the important monuments from different hills giving you a totally amazing experience of the landscape of Athens and they are definetely worth it to experience. This combined with the fantastic explanations and professionalism of the guide Georgios who will explain you history in a way that you will be fully captivated and inmersed in the Athenian history being able the to travel several centuries in just a day. Even though I was so tired from all the walking around the city for the past few days, i made it until the end of the tour ! Awesome Thursday morning, with great people , very nicely structured tour , lots of info and i came just for Socratess prison , but got out with many many more ! The guide was not annoyed with my jumping into his talking and could continue with ease , respect for that ... Also had a chance to see the prettiest girl in my life ! one big recommendation from me !

Georgios led us on a unique 3 hour adventure through Athen's parks and hills. Combining history and mythology, Georgios gave us the inside scoop on both both ancient and modern Athens. Highly recommend for those who are comfortable with some climbing on uneven surfaces.

“History told through experience in nature and mythology”
George was amazing! He has created this well thought out tour that mixes place and allows you to experience nature in the city, and history told through mythology. It was really well planned tour! I know very little about Greek mythology and yet I had no trouble following along. I loved to understand history through place and geographical features. The Sevenhills really helped you understand more about the creation of the Parthenon and the history of ancient Athens.
George’s English is as good as a native English speaker, and this coming from one. He really loves his material and his knowledge base is deep!
I can’t wait to come back to Athens with friends and do this tour again!

“ Discovering Athens beyond the concrete”
We were absolutely delighted with this tour immersed in greenery in an otherwise predominantly concrete Athens. “Bringing the old myths back to life”
The tour was a perfect start to dive into the history of Athens: Wandering around the hills, where you find just a few tourists, Georgios knew to every place one or two ancient stories and told them vividly. He always connected them with today’s topics, which was very interesting. I warmly recommend the tour if you love to go a little bit off the main paths and get a great overview of Athens! “Athens Walking Tour with Yorgos – A Mythology-Filled Adventure ⭐”
This walking tour around Athens was such a brilliant experience! We met at the checkpoint, which was really easy to find—just a 10–15 minute walk from the city centre. Once everyone arrived, we started walking right away.
The route included some fantastic viewpoints and historic spots:
• Acropolis of Athens
• Areopagus Hill
• Odeon of Herodes Atticus
• Philopappos Hill
• Hill of the Nymphs Viewpoint
• National Observatory of Athens
We took plenty of breaks, which made the walk feel very relaxed. During those breaks, Yorgos shared stories about Greek mythology—something I hadn’t really known much about before, especially the ancient myths tied to Athens. It was so cool to hear those stories in the actual places they’re connected to.
I’d rate the walk as easy, as long as you wear proper footwear and bring plenty of water (Yorgos even brought extra!). The whole tour lasted around 4 hours and included a lot of walking, but the sunny weather made it even more enjoyable.
Yorgos, our tour guide, was excellent—super prepared, incredibly knowledgeable about mythology and Ancient Greek history, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He even brought a little folder with before-and-after pictures of buildings, plus illustrations that helped us imagine what life might have looked like back in the time of the gods. It really brought the stories to life.
He spoke great English, gave us time to ask questions, and created a really warm, friendly vibe within the group. He’s honestly one of the best tour guides I’ve had.
The best part? At the end of the tour, he sent us (on request) a super helpful PDF packed with local tips—places to eat, shop, explore, and experience Athenian culture. We also took a cute group photo as a keepsake!
Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens. It’s a beautiful mix of history, mythology, and great company.

“Great walk through mythology and Athens”
A different walking tour in the best way - takes you on a journey with the best views in the city. You will not climb all 7 hills in 3 - 3,5 hours, but get to see and hear about all of them while Georgios takes you on a pleasent journey, away from the crowded tourist sites.
As mentioned in the description of the tour: it is not crazy physical, but it is not just a walk down the road either… so wear appropriate shoes, bring enough water, etc. Then you can fully enjoy the tour.
Georgios takes care of the group in the best way. Would completely recommend. ????

“Amazing and Personal Experience – Highly Recommended!”
I did the 7 Hilled Athens Free Tour with a friend today and had an absolutely wonderful time. As it turned out, it was just the two of us on the tour, so our guide, Georgios, gave us a private experience that felt incredibly personal and special. He was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and passionate about Greek history and mythology.
We were able to ask so many questions—especially about Greek mythology—and Georgios answered everything with such depth and enthusiasm. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The route itself was beautiful, with amazing views and hidden gems around the hills of Athens that we might never have discovered on our own. It was a perfect mix of historical insight, mythological stories, and local perspective.

This tour was fantastic. We saw a piece of Athens near the Acropolis we would have missed completely. George was an excellent tour guide who wove mythology and Athenian history into our tour of the 7 hills of Athens. We had a 3.5 hour, up and down the hills and into woodsy areas where at some points we couldn’t even hear traffic. George was informative and entertaining, answered many questions, and truly gave us the best Free Tour we’ve had out of the at least 20 we’ve done over the years. Be sure to bring plenty of water and wear good walking shoes. Two thumbs up!

“Nice guy with interesting facts about greek mythology”
I really enjoyed the tour! We were just 2 people (I was in athens at the beginning of february) and I saw different angles of athens & a lot of ancient ruins on this tour. Only one thing for me as a german girl: I thought we will walk even more and not stopping at so many different spots. But this is just my personal reference, still it was a nice tour, especially when you like the old greek mythology! For me I did the tour to see more about athens & learn something about the ruins (normally I‘m not into mythology) but there were a lot of funny storys about the gods, so I was pleased the whole tour! “Walking and learning a lot about Ancient Greek history and Mytho”
We had a great time with our excellent guide. Georgios is exceptionally knowledgeable and uses every single stop to illustrate participants with pearls of Ancient Greek history and Mythology. Although the tour requires good physical shape, it is worth the three hours. The tour starts near the Acropolis and includes some of the hills around. If you are interested in Ancient Greek and its Mythology do not miss this experience.

We had a wonderful tour with Georgios! Even though we were only two people, he gave us the whole tour as planned and we learned a lot about Athens, mythology and Greece :) He was a very knowledgeable yet fun guide, not only monologising about historical facts. He told us little anecdotes, asked questions and always made sure we were feeling good and still interested. The tour itself led us to great spots with beautiful views and we even had the chance to meet a wild turtle!! I absolutely recommend the 7 hills tour :)

“One of the highlights of the whole trip!!!”
We booked the tour as a group of seven on our trip to Athens in December.
As this tour was new and we couldn't see any reviews yet, we had little to no expectations before but the concept of getting to know the city from its famous and mystical hills intrigued us.
In the end, this tour tuned out to be one of the HIGHLIGHTS of our trip to Athens. Georgios was an amazing guide. The tour was well planned, the stores nicely told and it was an epic mix of historical facts, tales of greek mythology sprinkled with descriptions of modern life in Athens. We got to see places of Athens we would have never thought of going to by ourselves. A beautiful park with locals walking their dogs and hilltops with a nice view of the city including the Acropolis.
The guide provided pictures of how certain sites looked earlier in history and other useful information to better follow the tour. In the end we received a well crafted pdf with additional information of what to see, where to go, and where to eat which dishes. The document was put together by Georgios himself and his friends.
Our tour took 3.5h hours in the end because we had so many follow up questions and Georgios had so many more stories to share with us.
We all highly recommend booking a tour with Georgios when in Athens - You will not regret it!
