“Look at the marble pavements”

Our walking tour of Verona with Lucija was informative, fun & very worthwhile. She took us to all the major sights & told us stories with much energetic humour. The most surprising fact was that there are ammonite fossils in the marble pavements & in the seats of the arena. I would never have noticed this otherwise. Once Lucija points them out, you start seeing the fossils everywhere. It was a very cold morning, so she kindly included some extra time in a cafe so we could warm. You must absolutely do the free walking tour of Verona but don’t forget to pay your guide!

“Great 2 hour walk through a beautiful city”

A great 2 hour walk touring some of Verona’s historical sites. Although we had had previously visited many of the sites on the tour, our tour guide Lucia’s knowledge of the history of Verona provided interesting and colourful insights into the history behind these landmarks. I would strongly recommend this tour when visiting Verona, however be prepared for large crowds at most sites on the tour.

“An excellent tour despite rainy weather and G7 closures.”

We have paid full-fare ticket prices for many international city tours through various travel booking companies, but Lucia was—by far—the best guide we have ever had. Her knowledge of the city’s history and attractions, and local cuisine recommendations, was beyond measure. Even though the G7 conference had closed one major site, she had plans B, C, and D as a backup for a glimpse of the closed site. And despite torrential downpours at times, the entire group of 11 stayed all the way to the end, which should speak volumes about her ability to keep our attention. She was witty and fun, as well. I highly recommend her services as a tour guide.
